Q: Is this event pet friendly?
A: While Sandhill Nursery’s garden centre is pet-friendly, this event is not. Please leave your furry friends at home.

Q: What should I expect in terms of washroom facilities?
A: Portable washrooms are available on-site for guests.

Q: What are the event hours?
A: Open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 7 PM – 10 PM. From Sept 24th - Oct 31st.
No walk-ins — entry is by advance ticket only. Limited nightly capacity, so please purchase online before arriving.

Q: Can I buy tickets when I arrive at Sandhill?
A: No, all tickets must be purchased in advance online. There are no on-site ticket sales. We recommend buying your tickets early to secure your preferred date and time, as nightly capacity is limited.

Q: Is parking free?
A: Yes, parking is free.

Q: Is the path accessible?
A: Accessibility depends on weather and ground conditions, which can change daily. The path is primarily wood-chip based and packed snow. We encourage you to contact our team to discuss your specific needs before visiting.

Q: Can strollers navigate the Forest of Light trail?
A: Strollers can access the path, but those with air-filled tires handle the terrain much more smoothly. 

Q: How long is the Forest of Light walk?
A: The light walk is approximately 1 kilometre from entrance to exit. It winds through the field, forest, and back through the garden centre, creating a beautiful outdoor experience from start to finish. Please dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for walking outdoors.

Q: Is this all outside?
A: Yes, this is an outdoor event. Please come prepared with proper footwear and weather-appropriate layers.

Q: Will you close during inclement weather?
A: Yes. Safety is our top priority — if conditions are not suitable, we will close the event. All ticket-holders will be notified, and closure information will be posted on our website. If you have a ticket for that day we will connect with you via email.

Q: Can I buy tickets the day of?
A: Yes, tickets can be purchased online until 3 PM on the day of the event, provided it is not sold out.

Q: Can I purchase a ticket using a Sandhill Nursery gift card?
A: No, tickets for the event cannot be purchased using a gift card.

Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Tickets are non-refundable.

Q: Is there food on-site?

A: Yes! The Rusty Rake Café is open daily and offers food and refreshments during the Fall Forest of Light.

Café Hours:

- Monday–Wednesday: 8 AM–5 PM

- Thursday–Saturday (Fall Festival Days): 8 AM–10 PM

- Sunday: 9 AM–5 PM
